Cherry Clafoutis - Delish (Video)

This classic Cherry Clafoutis recipe combines sweet cherries in a creamy custard-like cake that is easy to make and very delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup cherries tart or sweet
  • 4 large eggs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp amaretto or 1 tsp almond extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F/175⁰C. Grease a 9" Stone Pie Plate or round baking dish with butter.
  • Pit cherries and slice them in half. Spread out the cherries in an even layer in the bottom of pie plate.
  • In Deluxe Cooking Blender, add eggs and sugar and blend until frothy. Add milk, amaretto, flour and salt and blend until combined. Pour batter over cherries. 
  • Bake until golden and a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

You can substitute 1 teaspoon almond extract for the amaretto if you prefer.
